I work at a busy Pre-K - 12 international school in New Delhi, India. Some of my responsibilities include activities coordinator, coach, alumni and admissions.
One of the daily challenges at our school is the complex puzzle of sharing facility spaces among three different school divisions in a seemingly ever-changing environment. Working with both the activities and admissions/marketing departments has given me a broad overview of the school and the many challenges involved with scheduling and coordinating students and spaces.

The personal assistants at the responsive schools of the future will be connected with all stakeholders and have the true big picture of the entire school operation. They will ensure that each individual is in the right place at the right time with the proper supplies and setup.
The traditional school model is defined by rigid schedules and lack of choice in day to day learning. With integrated data and responsive personal scheduling, the system can incorporate mobility into a traditional learning design, creating a more fluid school day through the affordances of mobile technologies.
These assistants will be a step beyond "Alexa" and "Siri" because they will be connected with the school facilities system, scheduling system as well as the students, teachers, and staff. Notifications and wayfinding systems on mobile devices can keep people informed of where they need to be and what they should be doing. Having the system fully integrated and modifying schedules based on monitored input will allow for more fluid adjustments to schedules and for more optimal environments for each learning experience or class.
